The trial heats in the Yale athletic games took place yesterday at the gymnasium : '83 pulled '85, and '84 pulled '82 in the tugs-of-war. The high jump was won by Worcester, '85, who scored 4 ft. 5 1/2 inches. Phelps, '84, Bowman, '83, Woodward, '83, Fosdick, '83, and Beckwith, '85, won heats at boxing. C. Smith, '83, Cummins, '82, Lambert, '84, and Bigelow, '85, won at wrestling, and W. Smith, '83, and Rice, '82, won at fencing. The final heats will occur Saturday.
