Yesterday morning the line for tickets to the two ladies' days of the winter meetings began to form about 10.30 A. M. in No. 13 Holworthy, opposite the secretary's room, No. 14. The names of men were put down on a list in the order of their arrival, with the number of tickets each wished, and at 12 o'clock the sale of tickets began in the other room. As a man's number and name was called he was allowed to enter and purchase. About one hundred and seventy floor tickets were sold for each day, and an additional one hundred and fifty gallery tickets for the last day, the sale of the latter being limited to five to each person. All attempts at speculation were decisively defeated by the action of Mr. Wendell, the president of the Athletic Association. There was an immense crowd in attendance to buy tickets, and we fear many were disappointed.
