A number of our exchanges have recently mentioned Storrs, '82, as training for the crew. Mr. Storrs is not training, nor has he trained this year. - [News.

Dr. John Hall has been selected as acting chancellor of the University of the city of New York, and it is believed that he will soon accept the position of permanent chancellor.

The University of Tokio, Japan, with departments of law, science and literature, employs, besides twelve foreign professors, thirty native instructors who are graduates of Rutgers, Cornell, Oxford, Cambridge and London.

The Chautauqua courses begin this year on July 8th. The School of Languages will give instruction in German, French, classical and ecclesiastical Latin and in classical Greek, "Hellenistic Greek," Hebrew, Anglo-Saxon and English literature.

Mr. Haven Tenney was called as a witness in a Delaware court and when the judge asked him his name and he answered, "Haven Tenney," the judge remarked that every man has a name, the witness was trying to insult the court, and was therefore fined $10.
