EDITORS HARVARD HERALD: On applying at the library for a copy of Emerson's Essays, I was told that there was no copy in the library that could go out. I found in the shelves reserved for Sophomore Rhetoric five copies of Emerson's Essays, not one of which was in use. As I spend a great deal of time in the library I took occasion to notice how many men used the copies of Emerson. Never at any time did I see more than one copy in use.
There is certainly great injustice done to the majority of students by reserving all the copies of books of such general interest for the use of a few men, who do not make use of their privilege.
