A report was circulated Tuesday in New Haven that the editor of one of the Yale College literary papers had been challenged to mortal combat by one of the students who was arrested a few evenings since for disorderly conduct at the firemen's ball. The reason given was that the editor had written an editorial which stated that it was unfortunate that the college should be disgraced by the acts of half a dozen disorderly students. The editor denies the story.
