The alumni of Trinity College, in a recent meeting at New York, voted that a man be sent through the country soliciting contributions for a president's salary fund, and that the salary of the president be fixed at $10,000 a year. Meanwhile the antique story concerning President Eliot and the cook of the Parker House still maintains its vogue - too largely based on truth. And Harvard does not blush.
