The thanks of all are due to the Co-operative Society for its energetic efforts on behalf of the students in getting reduced rates for the Christmas recess. The managers of the society have experienced great difficulty in getting any reductions at all, owing to the present railroad combinations in force and the consequent reluctance of any road to make concessions. The reductions obtained are, under the circumstance, considerable. But it is necessary that if they be finally secured, the co-operation of all be given in carrying out the plan proposed.
