A meeting of the gentlemen who had undertaken to canvass the college for subscribers to a reading room was held last evening. One hundred and eighteen names were reported as secured, besides several lists that were not handed in at the meeting. Messrs. L. A. Coolidge, '83; Noble, '84; Carpenter, '85, and Merriam, '86, were appointed a committee to make arrangements for a meeting Monday night, for the purpose of organization. Books will be placed at Bartlett's and at Memorial today to receive the signatures of those wishing to join whose names have not already been secured.
