At present Harvard seems to have won advantage by successfully introducing the co-operative system; but she has one disadvantage that to a certain degree counterbalances this, and that is the fact that Harvard has always been regarded as one of the most expensive colleges in the country. However, if by strict attention to the principles of economy students at Harvard reduce the expense of a college education within the limits of moderation, this disadvantage in reputation will soon be overcome and the institution derive the legitimate benefits of the system they have introduced.
