Members of Philosophy I. will bring in examination books at today's recitation for the hour examination next week Thursday.

Dr. O. C. Turner, a graduate of the Harvard Medical School and recently city physician of Cambridge, died Tuesday afternoon.

Prof. George L. Goodale gave the first of his Lowell Institute Lectures on "Physiological Training and Geographical Botany," Tuesday evening.

Dr. Sargent gave the first of his lectures on "Theories and Principles of Physical Training" in the Union Gymnasium Boston, Tuesday evening.

At next Monday's lecture in Natural History IV. the members of the elective will be seated alphabetically. The absences will thereafter be taken by a monitor.

Each college in the Foot-Ball League is to contribute $15 annually toward the purchase of a championship pennant. The two leading colleges in the championship series shall be entitled to play on Thanksgiving Day in New York the succeeding year.

At the meeting of the Harvard Union at 7.30 this evening, in Sever 11, the question for debate will be: "Resolved, That the best interests of Massachusetts require the election of Gen. Butler to the governorship." The disputants will be - Affirmative, H. M. Sewall, L. S., E. G. McInnes, '83; negative, S. M. Hayes, '84, C. R. Saunders, '84. All interested in the question are invited to attend.
