EDITORS HARVARD HERALD: In this week's Advocate a writer on "Favorites and Toadies" has attacked in a very personal way the managers of our various college organizations. I feel assured that many of the statements are exaggerated, to say the least; but it lies with those immediately interested to refute them. I merely write to assert that in regard to the Pierian the insinuation made is false. Our candidates are examined by a regular committee, and if recommended by these they become members by unanimous vote of the Sodality; in order to gain membership by toadying a candidate must therefore today to about twenty men - a rather difficult matter.
