The committee in charge of the American School of Classical Studies at Athens will hold its semi-annual meeting in the New York city on Friday. This school, it will be remembered, was started by the Archaeological Institute of America. Ten colleges are interested in the movement, each subscribing $250 annually for its support. It was opened last month and Professor Goodwin of Harvard, as one of the directors, is now in charge of it. He obtained leave of absence for one year in order to assume charge of the school for that time. Next year a director from another college will take his place. It has been suggested that Yale will send a member of its faculty. Professor Goodwin's report of the opening of the school is expected at the meeting on Friday.
