The Freshman Foot-Ball Team is having the usual round of misfortunes which has seemed unavoidably attendant on these organizations. But we hope '86 will not imitate her predecessors and give up in discouragement at the loss of her valuable men, but that she will make a grand brace this week and send her very best team to New Haven Saturday. Up to this time the freshman team has worked hard and effectively under very good management, so that a short time ago their friends entertained the greatest hopes of final success. The loss of several of their best men ought not to shake all this confidence and produce a corresponding depression, as it seems to have done. There is yet time to fill the vacant places with strong players out of the large list of candidates, who can again raise the standard and bring the class the desired victory. The college is watching with much interest to see this brace among the freshmen, and they are willing and anxious to lend encouragement to faithful work, and hearty congratulations in case of a well-earned victory. Now is your chance, '86, you will do well to improve this opportunity; everything is before you. Consider the prize you may gain and strain every muscle for victory.
