In its third number of the year, published yesterday, the Lampoon, we think, shows a considerable improvement over its previous issues. Its vein is thoroughly happy. Those who remember the Lampoon of the past will recognize in this number a return of its former greatness, with all its inimitable drollery and taking wit. The illustrations have gained much finish and character, although in this respect there is still much room for improvement, but in his letterpress, from editorial to "Bubbles," Lampy's himself again. We congratulate our contemporary upon its gratifying success.
