The annual ball, parade and banquet of the Cambridge City Guard, Co. B, took place yesterday afternoon and evening.

The Harvard graduates eleven play the Massachusetts Institute of Technology on the Boston base-ball grounds today at 3.30 P. M.

The class in Economic Geology will make an excursion to Marblehead Neck next Tuesday, leaving the Eastern depot at 9 A. M. Professor Whitney will take charge of the class, beginning one week from next Monday.

The November number of the Wheelman has made its appearance. It is a creditable specimen of typographical work, is handsomely illustrated, and contains a large amount of useful information and entertaining reading matter for bicyclists.

The vice president of the Boat Club requests all who are accustomed to the handling of boats to be at the boat house this morning at eleven o'clock. The work to be done will require only a short time, but a number of men are wanted. We hope that all who can will respond to this call, and aid the management of the boat house.

About thirty freshmen interested in lacrosse met in 2 Weld yesterday. Capt. Noble of the 'Varsity lacrosse team stated that the meeting was called to consider the formation of a freshman lacrosse team, in accordance with the desire expressed by many members of the class. Bradley, '86, was elected temporary captain of the team. The men will practice till snow comes and then take to the cage.

A very successful hare and hounds run was held yesterday. There were about thirty starters. Messrs. Trask, '85, and Delafield. S. S., were the hares, and T. J. Coolidge, '84, master of the hounds. The course was about six miles around and beyond Fresh Pond. The time was 1 hour and 1 minute, the hares coming in 9 minutes 27 seconds ahead of the hounds, with a start of 7 minutes. S. Coolidge, '83, was in first of the hounds.
