The Pierian Sodality, also, we understand, invites all students who play any orchestral instrument to offer themselves for trial as candidates for membership next Friday and Monday. The same arguments that would urge men to try for the Glee Club apply also in the case of the Pierian. To all students who are musically inclined both these societies offer unsurpassable advantages for profit and pleasure combined. Freshmen, we must repeat, should not be backward about presenting themselves in these trials. There is no member of '86, we feel sure, who, if fairly competent, would not profit by membership. Certainly the trial is worth making.
