The students of Harvard and the citizens of Cambridge are to be congratulated on the fact that arrangements have been made for another season of concerts in Sanders Theatre by the Boston Symphony Orchestra. By the announcement published in another column it will be seen that the first of these concerts will be given on the 9th of next month, and the rest at intervals of about one month. The price of a seat for the whole series is merely nominal, and it is to be hoped that all therefore will avail themselves of this opportunity of listening to music of the highest class performed by an orchestra probably second to but one in this country. At one time last year considerable hesitation was felt by the conductor of this enterprise about repeating it again, on account of the apparently small interest taken in these concerts by the college at large. It is to be hoped that this doubt will not arise again this year, but that a sufficiently appreciative interest will be shown by the students in these concerts to attest their success and popularity.
