Upon the approach of the examinations, we are all, except "the chosen few," reminded of the unpleasant results of 'deferring' our work. Notwithstanding its many advantages, it must be granted that the lecture system offers a great temptation to men to postpone their work until the few weeks immediately preceding the examination. A good modification of this system is adopted by one of the Greek professors. At suitable intervals, he has reviews at which excellent translations are required of the work of the past few weeks. In this way men are prevented from allowing the work to accummulate until the last moment.
