WE strongly advise a change in the rules of the Athletic Association, so far as sparring is concerned. If three men have entered any weight (as was the case on the first Saturday of the Winter Meeting), the winner of the first bout is obliged to spar with a man who is fresh and vigorous, which fact gives the latter a great superiority over the former. We suggest to the Association that, in a case like this, the final bout be postponed until the last day of the meeting, and be decided when both men are unwearied by participation in any previous sparring.
