ALL prospective students of the Law School will be interested to know that the announcement last week that some gentleman had signified his willingness to give $100,000 for a Law School building is undoubtedly true. No department of the University is more worthy the gift, and none more in need of it. In fact, it is a wonder, when the inconveniences are considered, how the Law School has been so successful. There is but one lecture-room; the library is very much exposed to destruction by fire; and the noise from the street cars makes lecturing difficult. Add to this that the endowment is small, and we get some idea of what the school has had to contend with. As yet neither the plans nor the site of the building have been decided upon. Work on it cannot, owing to the time of year, be begun for three or four months, and it is not expected that the building will be completed and ready for use before two years.
