THE action of the Boat Club Meeting, held December 12, leaves all the arrangements for the Yale race in the hands of the Executive Committee. We trust that this power will be used with discretion, and that all the propositions made by Yale will be considered as offered in a fair and gentlemanly spirit, until some strong reason appears for thinking otherwise. The feeling that the New Haven men are constantly laboring to take advantage of us only serves to increase the bitterness between the two colleges, and is likely to prompt hasty and injudicious action on our part. Let us, by a considerate policy, do all that we can to re-establish pleasant and amicable relations. For such relations, and none other, ought to exist between colleges like Yale and Harvard.
