WE publish in another column a letter from a correspondent concerning a recent editorial article in the Harvard Echo, - a letter which we do not think is open to the charge of misrepresentation or malicious exaggeration. The Echo has a perfect right to criticise, in a courteous manner, any line of conduct that seems unjust; but it has no right whatsoever to insult an instructor who may have displeased some portion of the men in his elective. Both the matter and the spirit of the article in question call for the severest reproof from all who have any desire that our College journalism shall at least be free from the element of vulgarity.
