AN organization that has shown commendable energy is the Cricket Club. Revived last fall by two or three members of '80, it now has a membership of nearly a hundred. The club has obtained from the Corporation the exclusive right to the use of the field back of Holmes, and the ground has already been marked out. In a short time a first eleven will be chosen, and matches will be arranged with the Cricket Clubs of Boston and New York. We would strongly urge on the Cricket Club the constant practice which the members certainly need before they can meet older organizations. The club must remember that it represents the College, and that, should they suffer any disgraceful defeat, it would to a certain extent affect the reputation for athletic excellence which the College possesses. With this word of caution, we wish the Cricket Club a long and successful career.
