AS many members of the Class of '80 have evinced a desire to know what arrangement has been made by the committee with Mr. James Notman, the Class Photographer, it would perhaps be well to enumerate a few clauses in the contract which are of special interest. Such clauses are as follows: Mr. Notman promises, "That every photograph of any member of said class shall be satisfactory to such member and to the Class Committee; and the satisfaction of every member shall be shown by his written certificate. Such certificate I promise to procure in every case when requested by said committee or any member thereof. . . .
"Also, that I will, on and after the fifth day of January, 1880, hold myself in readiness to photograph members of said class at my studio in Boston.
"Also, that I will have in readiness, on or before the fifteenth day of January, 1880, a ... studio . . . in Cambridge, and every member of said class is to have his election whether he will sit for his photograph in said studio in Cambridge or in my studio in Boston; and such as may sit in Boston I will myself in person photograph.
"I further agree that all pictures and albums ordered shall be furnished on or before the tenth (10th) day of June, 1880; provided, however, that albums need not be then furnished unless ordered by the first (1st) day of February, 1880. . . .
"I promise also that I will, within three weeks after every successful sitting, put a finished picture of the person so sitting, together with such certificate as is above provided for, on exhibition in my said studio in Cambridge. . . .
"I also promise that I will myself personally photograph all groups above provided for. . . .
"I also promise to deposit in the Library of said College, at my own expense, an album of the best grade above-mentioned, containing a full complement of portraits and views."
Class orders are to be paid for immediately on delivery. In ordering an album a deposit of $5 is required at the time of ordering. The price of the regular first-grade album is $20. Mr. Notman will furnish a cheaper grade album for $15. The regulation album contains twenty leaves. Extra leaves will, however, be put in at a cost of 75 cts. per leaf.
Any one desiring to sit in Boston must make an appointment with Mr. Notman, if his personal superintendence is wished.
CLASS COMMITTEE.
