UNDER the auspices of the Boat Club, an athletic meeting will be given during the evenings of April 4 and 5. The programme, which we give below in full, is divided into two parts; one for college men only, the other for all amateurs. Gold and silver medals will be given for all the events, except the tug-of war, for which sets of colors will probably be the prizes. The college events are: I-mile walk, 1/2-mile run, 75-yards dash, I-mile run, 1/4-mile run, 220-yards hurdle, and tug-of-war (teams of four men each).

The open events, subject to slight changes, are: 75-yards dash (handicap), 220-yards dash (handicap), I-mile walk (for those who have never beaten 7 minutes), 1/4-mile run (handicap), I-mile walk (handicap), limited, I-mile run (handicap), limited, tug-of-war (teams of four each), regimental tug-of-war between company teams from the 7th and 22d Regiments, and bicycle race, 2 miles.

IF the ground permits, the Executive Committee of the H. A. A. will probably put the track on Jarvis Field in condition for practice.

THE following from the Forest and Stream will be of interest to our readers:-

"ENGLISH CRICKETERS COMING.- Arrangements are in hand for the visit of three English cricket teams to this country during the present year. The first to come will be Lord Harris's twelve, now playing in Australia. This team will leave that country in April, and will arrive at San Francisco in May, and from that time until the last of June will play through the States and Canada. Its games with the New York and Philadelphia clubs promise to be very interesting. The team plays an American eleven in Philadelphia about the 15th of June. The next team to visit the States will be the amateur eleven of the Lascelles Club, and as this club has practised base-ball in England lately, it will play with some of our amateur as well as professional nines, including the college teams of Yale, Harvard, and Princeton. The third team will be a professional one under Daft, and will come over late in September. The play of the Philadelphians against the Australians last October has aroused quite a desire to visit America among the English clubs."
