OUR readers will find in another column a notice of the sad death of Professor Baxter, who was to have returned to his duties here this autumn. As all who have been in his classes will testify, Mr. Baxter was a very interesting teacher, and his kindness and geniality succeeded in making elocution quite popular among us, notwithstanding the small encouragement given by the Faculty to that important study.
