As almost every one knows, the N. Y. and N. E. R. R. have agreed to run, on the day of the race, a train of platform cars, furnished with seats arranged in tiers, from the start to the finish. The track runs along the bank of the Thames River, and there are only two or three points in the entire distance where trees or other objects shut out a view of the course. Each car will accommodate about eighty persons. Several cars have already been engaged by gentlemen from New Haven, and we earnestly advise our enterprising men to open registering books and secure passengers at once.
