THE Freshman class, we suppose, originally got its name from the fact that it is those amiable new-comers who refresh the weariness of college routine, and prevent our suffering from any possible monotony, by their eagerness and energy in striking out into new and original paths. The Class of '81 has just furnished us with a new proof of this freshness - we use the word in no invidious, but in a complimentary sense - by their organization of a "Glass Ball Club." We heartily welcome this new addition to college sports, and wish success to the ball-shooters.
