A CORRESPONDENT, whose sense of justice seems to have got the better of his courtesy, questions the accuracy of our information in an editorial in the last Crimson. He objects to our statement that Freshmen in Matthews and Holyoke are obliged to pay the janitors exorbitant prices, because, as he says, the "rules and regulations laid down by the College authorities for the guidance of janitors in the duties of their position" say that the janitors may charge a sum not over twenty-five dollars. All the "rules and regulations" that our correspondent may be able to find on the subject of janitors will not disprove the fact that a certain Freshman was charged forty dollars for the care of his room in Holyoke. We take occasion to remind our correspondent that the authorship of editorials is to be referred, not to any particular editor, but to the whole board.
