FOR the honor of the College we are sorry to be obliged to refer, in any way, to the meeting of the Senior class on Wednesday evening. Of the officers elected it is of course none of our business to express an opinion. But in our last issue we expressed a hope that the meeting would be distinguished by the absence of those traits which have predominated too much in the past, and that the qualifications required of candidates for office would have been their fitness for the duties expected to devolve upon them, rather than their connection or non-connection with this or that society. It is sufficient to say that our hopes were disappointed. The result of the action of the meeting remains to be seen; but we trust sincerely that the coalition or "stuffed club" system has seen its last days, and that Class Day itself will be abolished before such a scene as Boylston Hall witnessed on Wednesday is repeated. The list of officers elected is not published, because most of them have already resigned their positions, and further action by the class will be necessary.
