NOT long since we took occasion to "growl" at the way the club crews monopolized the boats in the afternoons, and proposed a remedy, which we hope will receive attention. We know that it meets the approbation of a large number of club members, and that it would give general satisfaction, if the hours during which the crews need the boats were definitely fixed.

Two more abuses occur to us: the closing of the boat house on Saturdays at five o'clock, - the only day for long afternoon pulls and excursions on the river; and the permitting of any one class to have the boats, as in the case of the Freshmen last autumn, for class scratch races. Any mixture of class and club feeling is contrary to the spirit of the club organization and creates ill-feeling.
