After Dinner.

How nice it was! I never ate

Such luscious fish; those greens!

I fancy oyster sauce is late,

But were n't those splendid beans!

And raisins, nuts, and apple-pie,

Then pudding stuffed with plums,

And apples of the deepest die,

With dessert fried in crumbs:

I feel so sleepy; - 't was the wine;

That claret was so cooling,

And then the choicest rarest Rhine, -

It - night - too sleepy - fooling.
