WITH the present issue we conclude the series of French letters by V. J. R. for this year, hoping next term to be able to give our readers a continuation of the series about superior instruction, and student life in Paris. We felt at first somewhat diffident about publishing serially what would be much more effective in a single article of a larger publication; but, as far as we can judge, the experiment has thus far proved satisfactory to our readers. Certain it is that those who keep their old Magentas have in the numbers of the past year a very concise and accurate account of the state of the educational interests of France.
