WE have received a very sensible article on gymnasium work for the winter. The writer suggests that, as an improvement for the benefit of the rowing-men, new rowing-weights should be provided, and the seats for these weights should be placed as in a boat, to facilitate learning the stroke from skilful oarsmen, and to approach more nearly the disposition of a crew when on the river. It is suggested that each of the four clubs might provide two rowing-weights, thus lightening the tax on individual men.
