Yard Punches
The Harvard Summer School's traditional and renowned Yard Punches will be held Wednesday afternoons, July 1 through Aug. 12, weather permitting, from 3 to 5 p.m. directly in front of Widener. Faculty and Proctors will attend, and various special interest groups will occasionally gather in designated areas.
Tom Collins?
Summer School mixers will be held July 7 and 9 in Memorial Hall at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are available at Matthews 4 for 50 cents. George Graham's orchestra will play at both dances.
New Grill Open
The Dudley Grill, in the new Dudley House at 1737 Cambridge St., will be open noon to 2 p.m. and 9 p.m. to midnight, serving snacks and sandwiches.
Tennis Tournament
Students may sign up for the summer-long tennis tournament in Matthews 4; there is a $1 registration fee. All tournament or private use of the courts must be by reservation made at the Social Director's office in Matthews 4.
Kimball Jones will give individual lessons during the summer at $7 per hour or $15 for a series of eight group lessons. Appointments may be made at the University courts, in Matthews 4, or by calling DA 6-8066.
Sunday Coffee
Coffee will be served each Sunday, July 5 through Aug. 16, in Matthews 6 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Newspapers will be available.
Plays at the Ex
The Loeb Experimental Theatre will present Synge's Riders to the Sea and Ghelderode's Escurial July 2 through 6, at 7:30 p.m. Admission free.
Poetry Readings
Poetry readings will be held every Wednesday, July 8 through Aug. 12 at 4 p.m. in Lamont Library. Herbert Gold will begin the series on July 8.
Tutors Needed
A tutoring program teaching English to Spanish-speaking people will be conducted this summer at the St. Stephens Episcopal Church in the South End and at the Veterans Hospital on south Huntington Avenue. Tutors--with or without a knowledge of Spanish--and people to help with refreshments and transportation are needed. Anyone interested should contact G. M. Nagle at UN 4-6900, ext. 4105.
