Students Paid to Attend Children

Sharpe Announces Expansion Of Service; Rates Have Been Revised

To supervise babies on evenings when parents are out, a large undergraduate group is now available, Russell T. Sharpe, director of Student Employment and chairman of the Committee on Scholarship, announced yesterday.

As a necessary part of the new program to expand the baby-tending service, students employed in that field are receiving instructions in the rudiments of infant care, from Reta A. Corbett, Superintendent of Stillman Infirmary.

The new, reduced rates for the baby-tending service will be 20 cents an hour up to midnight, and 50 cents an hour thereafter. Patrons must supply, in addition, students' carfare. Dishwashing and other housework will be obtainable at the rate of 40 cents an hour.
