Regimental Orders

General Orders,

No. 13.

1. Under the provisions of paragraph 9, "Regulations for the Government of the Harvard Regiment," the following promotions and appointments of officers, Harvard Regiment, are announced: To be Captain--Lieutenant J. D. Williams '16.

2. To be lieutenants--1st Sergeant J. Coolidge '18, Company G; Quartermaster Sergeant W. Blanchard '16, Harvard Regiment; Battalion Sergeant Major A. B. Roosevelt '17; Sergeant E. B. Pierce 3L. They will be obeyed and respected accordingly.

Medical Officers Appointed.

4. Upon the recommendation of the Medical Instructor, the following promotions and appointments of officers and non-commissioned officers, Attached Sanitary Troops, are announced: To be lieutenants--Sergeant, 1st class, S. Ayers, Jr., 1M; Sergeant, 1st class, W. H. Foster, 2M; Sergeant T. R. Goethals 4M. To be Sergeants, 1st class--Corporal J. N. Shirley 3M., Corporal W. H. Barrow 4M. To be Sergeants--Corporal G. E. Haggart 1M., Corporal J. Garland 1M. To be Corporals--T. E. Buckman 3M., A. Gregg 4M., T. D. Cunningham sM., B. B. Robinson 1M.

The officers recently promoted and appointed are assigned as follows: Captain J. D. Williams to be Quartermaster, Lieutenant C. E. Fraser to be Adjutant, 2d Battalion, Lieutenant J. Coolidge, to be Adjutant, 1st Battalion, Lieutenant W. Blanchard to be Supply Officer, 1st Battalion, Lieutenant A. B. Roosevelt to be Supply Officer, 2d Battalion, Lieutenant E. B. Pierce, unassigned, is attahced to Company B for duty.

General Order No. 14.

1. The Regiment and Attached Sanitary Troops will assemble on the roadway east of James Smith Hall, fully equipped tomorrow, May 30, 1916, at 9 A. M., for the purpose of participating in the military ceremonies and review of the Regiment by Major-General Leonard Wood, U.S.A., in the Stadium.

2. This will be the last formation of the Regiment this academic year and the Regimental Commander earnestly hopes that everyone will be present in ranks at the appointment hour.

Memorandum.

The drill prescribed for 7.30 P. M. today is changed to 4.30 P. M., when the companies will assemble on the roadway east of James Smith Hall for the final drill. This will also be a competitive drill to determine which companies will be selected for the special drills on Memorial Day. It is hoped that every man that can possibly do so will be present with his company this afternoon.

Provisional companies will assemble on Soldiers Field for voluntary preliminary instruction in sighting drills for the rifle from 10 until 12 o'clock and from 1.30 until 4 o'clock, under the supervision of the Assistant Instructors and Company Officers.

Companies A, B, C, D, E, F, G, and H will assemble in the roadway, east of James Smith Hall, for drill with arms at 4.30 o'clock, under the supervision of the Regimental Commander. C. CORDIES,   Captain, U. S. Army,   Commanding.
