In addition to changes and realignment of courses, certain of them have received new numbering in the 1936-37 announcement pamphlet. History 2, for instance, has suddenly turned into History 32.
Following is a list of the courses primarily for undergraduates, and beginning in the first half year, which have been renumbered:
History 50--Moslems to the Decline of the Abassids--has become History 127s.
Chinese 11--History of China--has become History 35.
All courses in English composition and Public Speaking have been renumbered.
All courses in English and American Literature have been renumbered with the exception of English 23--Shakspere, English 27--The Elizabethan Dramatists.
German 26a--the Romantic Movement--has become German 10.
German 4--Goethe--has become German 15.
German 28--Literature since 1900--has become German 21.
German 12a--Introduction to Historical Linguistics--has become German 130.
German 15--Old High German--has become German 135.
German 21--History of the Language--has become German 150.
Scandinavian 3--Swedish--has become Scandinavian 21.
Slavic 4--Introduction to Russian Literature and Culture--has become Slavic 1.
Slavic 1a--Elementary Russian--has become Slavic 10.
