All-round championship to Lowell House, loss of the Edward S. Harkness trophy to the Yale Colleges, and a record number of participants in Harvard intramural competition from the high points of the report on House Athletics for 1935-36 as released by the Inter-House Athletic Committee yesterday.

In winning the Percy S. Straus Trophy, Lowell House scored four championships in individual sports and amassed a total of 1041 1/2 points. Winthrop finished second with 987 points. Kirkland totaled 980 1/2, Eliot 938, Adams 642 1/2, Leverett 640, Dudley Hall 524 1/2, and the lowly Dunster Funsters 459.

Competing with Yale the Crimson champions won three, tied one, and lost six. The report's third feature of major interest shows 1107 individuals participating in intramural sports through the year, 56 more than in 1934-35, and 107 teams, 13 more than in the preceding season.

Last year's undergraduate committee consisted of Perry J. Culver '37, Lowell House, chairman; John L. Clark '36, Kirkland House; George H. A. Clowes, Jr. '37, Leverett House; Forrest T. Foss '37, Dudley Hall; August C. Helmholz '36, Winthrop House; Richard B. Johnson '36, Adams House; Norman I. Trevelyan '36, Eliot House, and Winthrop H. Lee '36, Dunster House.

Lots of Work for Inter House Body

In addition to drawing up their report, the work of this committee consisted of: (1) Ruling on various details pertaining to policy; (2) Appointing managers for all sports; (3) Admitting Dudley Hall as a member of House leagues in place of the former Brooks House; (4) Investigating from all angles the problem of Dudley Hall athletics; (5) Drawing up tentative "Rules and Regulations of the Inter-House Athletic Committee.

Final action on (4) and (5) will be taken this fall.

Probation Not to Affect House Sports

The eligibility rules which saw action last year and which will be used again this fall provide:

1. House residents, graduates or undergraduates, may represent their respective Houses in those sports in which they are not Varsity lettermen.

2. House residents, while members of Varsity, Second and Third Varsity and 150 Pound sport squads may not represent their respective Houses in these same sports.

3. Members of the upper three classes only (and not graduates), who do not reside in the Houses but who are granted a House privilege such as library, dining hall, etc., by a House Master, may represent that same House.

4. Only upperclass members of Dudley Hall non-residents' Center may compete for Dudley in league contests.

5. Men on probation for scholastic reasons may take part in the final games between the Harvard Houses and the Yale Colleges, and may enter informal contests with preparatory schools.
