Crews Race in Good Time

Rowing under favorable conditions with smooth water, the University shell stroked by C. McK. Norton '29, finished three lengths ahead of the crew of L.D. Parker '30. The shell stroked by John Watts '28, finished five lengths behind the first shell, while the crew of R.G. Bolster '28, came last. The time, although not definitely announced, was said to be good for fall crew. The first shell lined up as follows: Stroke, C. McK. Norton '29; 7, J.W. Dunlop '28; 6, Charles Mason '30; 5, R.R. Dickey '30; 4, Rodgers Donaldson '30; 3, C.N. Comstock '30; 2, J.O. Wilson, '28; bow, J.E. Wintringham, '30; cox, C.G. Chase '30.

In the 150 pound races, the crew stroked by James De Normandie '29, led that stroked by F.B. Lee '29, by one length, over the two mile course.

All rowing except for Freshman crews will end on Tuesday, it was announced yesterday by J. McA. Preston '28, manager of the crew.
